AREA MUSICIAN ROCKS FOR CHARITY

Tuxedo, NY: On Saturday, September 13th, Rob Cannillo and 46 other musicians will donate their performances to benefit Spectrum for Living, a not for profit organization that helps developmentally and/or physically disabled adults. The Rock the Mountain Music Festival will be held at Tuxedo Ridge Ski Area, (formerly Sterling Forest Ski Area), from noon until 10pm.

This is the second annual Spectrum fundraiser coordinated by Rob Cannillo, a singer/songwriter residing in the Hudson Valley. Rob has always wanted to use his music to help people, and many charities have benefited from his donated performances, including the American Cancer Society, Katrina Relief and Relay for Life. Rob.s fundraising work began well before his musical career. For over 20 years he has been organizing events to benefit various charities. Now, he is coupling his music with his passion for giving back. In 2002 he and his family hit the road and traveled 3000 miles to raise money and awareness for cancer. "My family and I enjoy traveling, and I thought what a great way to combine travel, music and a worthy cause."

Rob Cannillo began his musical career in earnest following a life altering event. "I finally said to myself, .What are you waiting for?." Since then he has released two CD.s of original music, The Long Road Home and What Life Can Be. His 3rd CD coming out soon is a live compilation CD. He has performed in great venues such as the Wild Horse Saloon, the Turning Point, Stephen.s Talkhouse and Bodles Opera House.
